a necklance I ordered

I happened to stumbled upon her blog the other day and I loved her jewelry collection. She launched her jewelry shop two years. As for celebrating the anniversary, she's having a little sale for all of you lovelies. The code is "twoyears" at the checkout. It will be ended tomorrow!

Banquet by elephantine.

This is what I purchased. It's simple yet elegant. I can't wait to put it on myself when it arrives! And of course I will post a photo of myself wearing it. Stay tuned =)

I love this bedroom

I love this simple room, as well as morning light. It will bright my day when I wake up.  Huge lamp light ( looks like industrial lamplight? ) is a great idea!

camera handbags hunting

Due to the tropical storm weather, I'm staying in most of the time.  I've been surfing internet to keep my entertained. Also I've been looking for camera bag that I would like to carry my dSLR camera with me on a day to day basis. These bags at the above, I can't decide which one I'm gonna get. I love them all!

I have no tv, so I'm gonna bake some chocolate chip cookie and get myself a beer. Hope you stay safe wherever you are.

three books

I borrowed Trattoria book from someone I knew, but I ended up keeping it. I cooked one of its relaxed Italian recipes- pizza rustica. It was sooo good. I have easy breaskfast & brunch and it is very simple recipe for morning treats. I'm going to pick a recipe from it. I love egg benedicts! I purchased Plate to Pixel Digital Food Photography & Styling a few weeks ago. When it arrived, I read it right away. so much to learn. how to photograph food properly. ISO, shutter, Aperture and use natural light. I will post food photos in the future.

Crabcake with scrambled egg and grits. Three layers of chocolate chip pancakes with mini scoop of butter. They were both yummy!

Old Town in Alexanderia, VA.

I have been to DC twice, and my first time in Old Town, Alexanderia, VA. My friend showed me around in DC and took me to Old Town. There is a free trolley you can hop on! I had a lovely weekend.

I just bought coffee brewer that came with black ceramic mug yesterday. I'd rather a black cup because stain wouldn't be seen. Now I'm taking a sip of coffee I made.

two hangbags and two lipsticks

ASOS

I love these handbags and lipsticks. I feel like I'm going to wear tangerine color lipstick. I might get two of these this week. Of course I will post about them. Stay tuned =)

my old home

the photo was taken in 1999 by one of my relatives.

I looked through my old photos on my mac laptop and I found my old home photo. I grew up in that house when I was young. When I looked at this photo above, I reminisced about my first nine years of my life in the province of Guangzhou, China. I have many wonderful memories from that time. I have visited my hometown in 2001 with my parents. While I took a stroll with my cousin in the village,  everything was not the same as I remembered, which made me sad. Some old neighbors were not there ( up in the heaven) and little friends I used to hang out with moved away to the city and worked there, and their parents were still around.  Gosh it's been 10 years since the last time I visited! I think it's time to make a trip.

ps: maybe you notice I haven't posted anything for the past few days because the internet had been down. I was very frustrated, but I realized I was really addicted to the internet!

a necklace with my initial "J"

©Jin Yu Kuang

It was a graduation gift. I wanted something very memorable. My friend suggested a necklace from Tiffany & Co. Whenever I look at it, I will look back that I proudly graduated and earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. What did you get for your graduation gift?

the beach in montauk for the day trip

©Jin Yu Kuang

My friend and I took off to the Beach in Montauk last Sunday. I have never been there so it was the first time for me. I was kind of reminded of the Ocean Beach in San Francisco where I grew up. The sunshine kissed me all over. It was really nice and also the weather was soooo perfect... luckily we came there at the right time! And I took a few shotsnaps to share with you.
